Hua Hin is long established as a golf destination, largely due to a reputation burnished by venerable courses such as Springfield. Designed by Jack Nicklaus, the layout has stood the test of time and offers challenging – but fair – manna for every standard of golfer. Great moments abound, but the best is saved for last with a sublime par-5 closer that requires a perfect approach to its island green. The club has an additional nine holes, designed by Schmidt-Curley, that are also excellent.
